ACTS nominations

Great news! TTT have been nominated by ACTS for our productions of Trial by Jury and H.M.S. Pinafore. These are our nominations:

The Most Original Production Concept- David Kay Most Original Character Actor- David Kay & Tony Meehan Most Original Character Actress- Barbara Mayers Most Accomplished Actor- David Griffiths Most Accomplished Actress- Victoria Goulden.

The awards dinner takes place in November.

 

First Prize for Victoria

Congratulations to one of are very talented sopranos, Victoria Goulden, who won first prize in the light opera class at the Mrs Sunderland Music Festival on 18th February 2017. Victoria sang ‘The Pipes of Pan’ from The Arcadians. She also won second prize in the Musical Theatre category for ‘This is my Beloved’ from Kismet.

Victoria will be playing the leading roles for both H.M.S Pinafore and Trial by Jury at St Joseph’s Hall, 16th-20th May 2017.

Rosa Flies In From Cadiz To Attend Concert

Rosa Sanchez Garcia will fly in from Cadiz to attend our Autumn concert on Saturday 19th November 2016 at St Joesph’s Hall, Leigh. Rosa said farewell to the society in August, but not before booking her ticket to come and see us again. We are all looking forward to seeing her again.

   

Glitz & Glam

A fun night was had by all at the BATS award dinner. The Three Towns were nominated for ‘Best Choreography’ for ‘Waltzes from Vienna’, Victoria Goulden received runner-up for ‘Best Actress in a Musical’ for her portrayal of Lina Abeseder in ‘Waltzes from Vienna’ and our Tenor, Gordon Bustard, received his 60 years diamond bar.
